Application of D-ala+ FAD in R. gracilis DAAO-transfected astrocytes causes a significant dose dependent production of H2O2 (shown in red (light gray in the print version); ***p <0.001). Production of H2O2 is observed at concentrations as low as 0.02 mM of D-ala.
