Reaction conditions for step 2: 6 (1 equiv), Pd₂(dba)₃ (5 mol %), and L1 (12.5 mol %) in toluene (0.033 M) at 23 °C for 12–48 h.

Pd₂(pmdba)₃ (pmdba = bis(4-methoxybenzylidene)acetone) was used instead of Pd₂(dba)₃.

Enantiomeric excesses were determined by chiral SFC analysis.

Reactions were performed on 6g, 6h, and 6i at 40 °C.
