MCF-7 cells were treated with TGF-β at the concentration of 10 ng/ml for 48 hours. Images were taken with an inverted fluorescence microscope at x 20 magnification. Scale bar=200μm. (A) NgBR knockdown in MCF-7 cells prevents TGF-β-induced the loss of E-cadherin positive intercellular junction. Immunofluorescence staining of E-cadherin was performed to examine the intercellular junction of epithelial cells. (B) NgBR knockdown decreases TGF-β-induced expression of the mesenchymal marker, vimentin, in MCF-7 breast tumor cells. Vimentin positive mesenchymal cells were determined by immunofluorescence staining of vimentin.
