DRG neurons (6–9 × 104 cells for each condition) were electroporated with pEGFP (1 μg, Lonza). Electroporation conditions were optimized for voltage, duration and number of pulses. After 24 h, cell viability and transfection efficiency were assessed by visual inspection.
