Tracking of transplanted hMPCs by MRI. Unlabeled (control) and 400 μg/mL labeled hMPCs were subcutaneously injected in the back of nude mice before scanning by MRI 4 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, and 4 weeks after injection. The area of interest in representative T2-weighted MRI images is shown and injected cells are marked with an arrow. Two representative mice are shown for injections with both control cells and SPIO-labeled hMPCs.
