The intravenous general anesthetic ED50 of the four volatile anesthetics could be predicted by their inhaled MAC (R2 = 0.8620, P = 0.047). This significant correlation indicated that the preparation of lipid emulsion did not affect potency and efficacy of emulsified volatile anesthetics.
