Manipulating autophagy affected the in vivo cell cycle of BM cells and LSK percentage in the xenograft mice. (a) The cell cycle of BM cells showed that the cells in G0/G1 phase decreased significantly and the cells in S and G2/M increased in model group, but the cells in G0/G1 phase increased and the cells in S and G2/M phase decreased significantly in rapamycin treatment group, whereas the rapamycin preventative group did not show a significant change in cell cycle as compared with model group. (b, c) The LSK (both CD34−LSK and CD34+LSK) percentage decreased significantly in model group, but the LSK number (both CD34−LSK and CD34+LSK) restored significantly in the preventive group, not in the treatment group. **P<0.01, *P<0.05.
