Effect of inhibition of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) by STA-21. (a) Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) cocultured with C6 glioma cells were treated with 0–50 μM STA-21 for 24 h then the cell proliferation inhibition rate was analyzed using MTT. (b) Western blotting data showed that the protein expression levels of STAT3, p-STAT3, CyclinD1, and Bcl-xl in STA-21-treated groups were significantly increased compared to the group without STA-21 treatment.
