A simplified spherical brain geometry. The internal spherical void represents the ventricles from which CSF may either flow out through the parenchyma or out through a channel representing the foramena and aqueduct. We consider this channel to be small enough that it has a negligible effect on tissue displacement. The thick wall of the sphere represents the parenchyma, and the outer region represents the SAS and skull.
