Likewise, slips and falls were correlated in all three groups (c). Traversal time and falls were not correlated in large DA rats (b), suggesting that in these animals, relatively high rates of falls resulted from additional risk factors. Note that because of the low fall rates in shams, this correlation, albeit significant, is not shown. It is also worth noting that the lesion score of the small DA rat that exhibited the highest fall rate (b,c) was below the average for this group.
