Expression of transcription factors in fasting mice. The cDNA of 36-hour fasting and control mice was synthesized from their stomach mRNAs and used as the templates for PCR analyses. PCR products of mouse Nkx2.2, NF-κB (NF-κB (p50)), and RelA (NF-κB (p65)) were separated by agarose gel electrophoresis and stained with ethidium bromide.
