Total dry matter release was determined by weighing after freeze-drying, and the monosaccharide composition was determined by acid hydrolysis followed by HPAEC-PAD analysis. Protein was determined with a bicinchoninic acid assay. NA, nonaccountable (the fraction which could not be recovered by HPAEC-PAD or protein determination).
