  1. WT and Ctns−/− mouse fibroblasts were treated with either 50 μM H2O2 or 1 mM paraquat (PQ) for 4 h and stained with (A) FITC-annexin V or (B) propidium iodide (PI) and analyzed by FACS. Results from 3 different experiments are shown as mean ± SEM. In (A), *= 0.05; ***= 0.0002. In (B), *= 0.046; **= 0.0065. Unpaired t-test.
  2. WT and Ctns−/− cells were treated as described above and samples analyzed by Western blot using antibodies recognizing cleaved (active) caspase 3. Data are representative of 2 independent experiments with similar results.
