Table 2.

Integration of inferences across loci and different classes of DNA sequence-based demographic analyses. Single-locus methods include FLUCTUATE, FS, R2, and mismatch distributions. EBSP analysis is a multilocus method. Stable population size represents the null model in analyses except for mismatch distributions (which assumes growth), and “ns” indicates no significant deviation from the null. The integrated inference is based on the criterion of cross-validation among different classes of analyses (see Methods). The symbol “?” indicates cases where the procedure to fit model mismatch distribution and observed distribution did not converge. Statistics that could not be calculated owing to insufficient polymorphism are marked by “–”
