Table 3.

Mean National Eye Institute Visual Functioning Questionnaire-25 subscale scores for patients with strabismus, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), glaucoma, cataract, cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis, and low vision. Strabismic patients were recruited for the Quality of Life in Adults with Strabismus study, and other patients were enrolled in the National Eye Institute-Visual Functioning Questionnaire field test group. Dark gray shading indicates subscale scores that were significantly better than patients with strabismus; light gray shading denotes subscale scores that were not significantly different from strabismic patients; and white shading indicates subscale scores that were significantly worse than patients with strabismus.
