Absolute spectra of O, P, & F.

Spectra are plotted in terms of millimolar extinction coefficients (cf. Table 1).

------ Black = compound O (oxidised state);

Inline graphic Red = compound P;

Inline graphic Green = compound F.

Corrected difference spectra of F minus O and P minus O (Fig. 3B) were normalised to 100% of the starting oxidised spectrum (see Materials and methods; cf. Table 1), and then added to the original absolute oxidised spectrum obtained under the same conditions. pH 8.75, 22°°C.
