Differential effects of follistatin hyperexpression on skeletal muscle mass and prostate in follistatin transgenic mice. (A) Follistatin transgenic mice (Fst Tg) had significantly higher lean body mass than wild-type controls. (B) Follistatin transgenic mice had higher weights of levator ani, gastrocnemius, and quadriceps femoris than wild-type controls.
