*Empathy was measured by the Jefferson Scale of Empathy (JSE, S-Version, refs: 3,4,9,10,13). Optimism was measured by the Revised Life Orientation Test (LOT-R34-36). Exhaustion, Depersonalization, and Accomplishment were measured by the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI, refs: 15, 21,37,39).
