Fig 6. Effects of curcumin and curcumin-PLGA conjugate on the cell migration.

Fig 6

The migration ability of HCT 116 cells was monitored by scratch assay. HCT 116 cells were seeded in 6 well plate and allowed to reach the confluency. The scratch was created from center of individual wells on a plate and thereafter cells were treated with 10 μM and 20 μM of curcumin (C) and curcumin-PLGA conjugate (CP) for 6 h, 12 h and 24 h. Similarly, 0.8 μl DMSO was used as a vehicle control. (A) The graph represents the number of migrated cells per field. (B) The graph represents the distance migrated by cells. Error bars represent mean ±SEM of three independent experiments. Significant difference indicated as *p≤0.05 between untreated and curcumin treated cells; #p≤0.05 between untreated and curcumin-PLGA conjugate treated cells; §p≤0.05 between curcumin and curcumin-PLGA conjugate treated cells (One way ANOVA followed by Student Newman-Keuls multiple comparisons test).
