(A) C. albicans SC5314 cells were incubated continuously in the presence of compounds at 37°C for 48 h. (B) C. albicans SC5314 cells were allowed to adhere for 6 h then magnolol or honokiol was added and incubated further for 48 h at 37°C. (C) C. albicans SC5314 cells were allowed to adhere for 24 h then magnolol or honokiol was added and incubated further for 24 h at 37°C. Amphotericin B served as a positive control. Following incubations, the bound cells were detected with an XTT assay. Bars represent means ± S.E.M. **P < 0.01.
