Top: In a category learning task, participants categorize objects one at a time and are given corrective feedback. Bottom: In a visual discrimination task, participants are tested on their ability to make a visual same/different discrimination. Measured visual perceptual changes caused by earlier category learning indicate stable dimensional modulation.
