Chromosome 1 appears to be almost completely dosage compensated, with some regions showing male-biased and others showing female-biased expression. Chromosome 4, on the other hand, has globally lower FPKM values for males than females, suggesting that complete dosage compensation has not yet evolved on the this chromosome.
