Alteration of glucose (Glc)-responsive gene expression in rh57 mutants. RNA levels of Glc-responsive genes were determined by qRT-PCR using total RNA isolated from 9-day-old seedlings of WT,rh57-1, and rh57-3 that were incubated with shaking in sugar-free MS that contained 4.5% Glc for indicated time intervals before harvest. Mannitol (Mtl) was used as a control. The analyzed Glc-responsive genes included RBCS, ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase small subunit; PC2, plastocyanin 2; CHS, chalcone synthase; APL3, ADP-Glc pyrophosphorylase large subunit. ACTIN1 was used as an internal control. Data were obtained from three biologically independent experiments. Error bars represent standard deviation (SD;t-test: *< 0.05; **< 0.01).
