Genes of which both DNA methylation status and gene expression level were significantly altered by genotype (G; that is, 5-Htt+/− versus 5-Htt+/+), the environment (E; that is, prenatal stressed versus control mice) or in an interactive manner (G × E; that is, indicating those genes of which the effect of the environment depends upon the genotype) in the hippocampus of female mice. DNA methylation analysis was performed by applying hippocampal DNA enriched by methylated-DNA immunoprecipitation (MeDIP) on Affymetrix (Affy) Mouse Promoter 1.0R arrays.
