MIC is defined as the lowest peptide concentration that gives no visible growth after overnight incubation in 100% Muller-Hinton broth. Conditions for the broth microdilution assay are specified by Clinical Laboratory Standard Institute. The experiments were repeated at least 3 times for each bacterial strain.
