(a) The relative amounts of human angiogenic factors (TIMP-1, IGFBP-3, CXCL8, and VEGF) present in cell culture supernate of HSs (10:1). Cell culture supernate was collected on days 3 and 5 and subjected to a human angiogenesis antibody array. Since the data represent the average values from a single test, which yielded two test values for each individual cytokine, statistical significance was not determined. (b) The amounts of hVEGF secreted from rat ICCs and HSs (10:1) containing hMSCs and rat ICs cultured in normoxic conditions and HSs (10:1) cultured in hypoxic conditions at various culture time points, as evaluated by ELISA.
