Using linear regression we added the multiplicative terms (SNP × environmental factor) to the regression model while simultaneously adjusting for covariates: age, sex, BMI, and smoking status. Below are the association results for the single SNP or environmental factor tests of association as well as the association results for the interaction term. Suppressed = results not released by CDC because counts were < 5 (see ‘Statistical Methods’).
