A, images of DHE fluorescence from control (left panel) and DM (right panel) mouse atria with identical imaging settings and conditions showed markedly elevated levels of oxidative stress in the DM preparation. A 24-h exposure to 50 μm H2O2 reduced the protein expression of SK2 (B) by 51% and SK3 (C) by 49% in HL-1 cells cultured with NG (n = 3) but not that of SK1, CACNA1C, and Kir2.1 channels (D) under the same conditions.
