Among the differences observed between the MTB and BCG membrane proteomes were proteins involved in polyacyltrehalose (PAT) biosynthesis (A) and specialized protein secretion via the ESX-3 system (B). Genes encoding proteins that were determined by LFQ analysis to be under-represented in BCG are shaded in black or grey and the corresponding log2(BCG/MTB) ratio is provided (imputed values). Those genes shaded black encode proteins whose LFQ ratios had p values of 0.05 or less.
