Migration of Ang II-treated cardiac fibroblasts (wound-healing assay). Compared with Ang II treatment alone, protease inhibitory AK and CPAI significantly increased cardiac fibroblast migration, whereas vitronectin-binding RR without protease inhibition significantly decreased migration. These results indicate that the migration of cardiac fibroblasts is impacted by both protease inhibition and vitronectin-binding of PAI-1. * vs Cont, # vs Ang + PBS, vs Ang + RR, P <0.05.
