The maximum-likelihood phylogeny of the rpoB sequences. The tree was rooted with the sequences from Escherichia coli K-12 MG1655 and Salmonella enterica Ty21. To evaluate the support of the nodes, a bootstrap analysis of 100 replicates was conducted. For clarity, only the bootstrap values for the main groups are shown. The scale bar represents substitutions per site.
