GP1 shows extreme selectivity toward benzene over toluene, xylene, and other interfering gases. GP2 shows binding affinity toward toluene, xylene, and hexane, but not toward benzene. BP1 peptide discriminates toluene from xylene. Chemical structures for each chemical compound are shown.
