Fig 4. Activity and motor alterations in low and higher expresser mutant 3R Tau tg mice.

Fig 4

A-C. Mice were evaluated for motor functioning in a round beam apparatus. Compared to non-tg controls and Line 2 mice, the 3R Tau tg mice Line 13 displayed increased numbers of errors when walking in the round beam. D-F. Mice were evaluated for activity in a Kinder SmartFrame Cage Rack Station activity monitor system. Compared to non-tg controls and Line 2 mice, the 3R Tau tg mice Line 13 displayed increased rearing, total activity and thigmotaxis. (One-way ANOVA with Dunnett’s multiple comparisons post-hoc test). Mice are 8–10 month old. N = 12 non-tg, N = 12 3R Tau tg Line 2, N = 12 3R Tau tg Line 13. * = P < 0.05 compared with non-tg by one-way ANOVA with Dunnett’s post hoc analysis. # = P < 0.05 when comparing Line 2 and 13 using one way ANOVA with Fisher’s posthoc test.
