Percentage of terpene volatiles produced by recombinant AaTPS1 and AcTPS1 enzymes in vitro and in ripe (stage a3/a4; see text) A. arguta ‘Hortgem Tahi’ fruit. The recombinant enzymes expressed in E. coli were purified by Ni2+ affinity and gel filtration chromatography and incubated with GDP as substrate.
