Increased uptake of [11C]PK11195 in the intervention group as compared to the healthy rats. For the focal lesion test, Sprague-Dawley rats were divided in a healthy control group (n = 11) and rats stereotaxic injected with saline (n = 10). For the herpes encephalitis model, Wistar rats were divided in a healthy group (n = 19) and infected rats (n = 14). For the interpretation of group differences, T-maps data were interrogated at p = 0.001 (uncorrected) and an extent threshold of 200 voxels. Only cluster with p<0.05 family-wise error (FWE) corrected were considered significant.
