Synonymous divergence between a1 and a2 alleles in predicted genes in the NRRs of the mating-type chromosomes of Microbotryum lychnidis-dioicae, ranked by increasing divergence. Only trimmed alignments of concatenated exons longer than 1,000 bp were retained. Synonymous divergence was estimated as the numbers of synonymous substitutions (dS), divided by the number of synonymous sites in the sequence; standard errors are shown. A single dS value at 3.4 is not shown for optimal visualization of the other values. The divergence between the pheromone receptor alleles is not shown either as they could not be aligned in nucleotides.
