miR-518a-3p negatively regulates the nuclear factor (NF)-κB pathway by inhibiting NF-κB-inducing kinase (NIK) expression. NIK protein (right panel of B and D) levels in LoVo cells, as measured by western blot analysis. Treatment with miR-518a-3p (A and B) mimics or (C and D) inhibitor resulted in the suppression or accumulation of NIK expression, respectively.
