CCG-203971 sensitizes differentiated myofibroblasts to Fas-mediated apoptosis. CCL-210 fibroblasts were treated with/without 2 ng/mL transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1 for 24 hours and then treated with/without 250 ng/mL Fas-activating antibody (Fas-Ab) and/or 30 μmol/L CCG-203971. Apoptosis was assessed by Western blot analysis for poly-(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) (A) and cleavage of a fluorescence substrate by activated caspase-3/7 with image analysis at 8 hours (B).
