bSlices were incubated in a medium containing 146 mM Na+, 5 mM K+, 1 mM Mg2+, 1.3 mM Ca2+, 161 mM Cl−, 2 mM phosphate, 1 mM SO4 2−, and Tris (10 mM pH 7.4). It was gassed with O2. Cl-free medium contained NO3 − instead of Cl−. Ouabain was at 2 mM. Cytochalasins were added from stock solutions in dimethyl sulfoxide; final concentration in medium was 0.1% (v/v) DMSO.
