Meta-regression analysis of midpoint of study period versus paravalvular leak rate in Perceval S sutureless aortic valves. Significant negative correlation was found (r=−0.853, P=0.031), suggesting that there was a decrease in paravalvular leak rate with time. This is one potential source of heterogeneity in the meta-analysis of proportions in Figure 1, suggesting that paravalvular leak is a function of temporal learning curve.
