(B) Maintenance of ectopic silencing in epelΔ cells does not require Dicer (Deri) as indicated by the growth of red, dcrlΔ cells on +tet medium. (C) Maintenance of ectopic silencing in epelΔ cells does not require Argonaute (Agol) as indicated by the growth of red, agolΔ cells on +tet medium.
