Delayed UPR transcript induction is observed in puf4Δ cells during tunicamycin treatment. KAR2 (A) and HXL1 (B) mRNA levels in the wild-type strain or the puf4Δ mutant during treatment with tunicamycin were assayed by Northern blotting. Histograms were generated by normalizing the Northern blot hybridization levels of the given transcript to the rRNA levels to determine the change in transcript levels over time. Error bars are representative of at least three biological replicates.
