The colony-formation assay was performed to determine the effects of various doses of X-rays (0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 Gy) on U87 and U251 cells in normoxic (21% O2) and hypoxic (1% O2) conditions. Colonies were counted 14 days and 21 days after radiation, for U251 and U87 cells respectively, to determine survival fraction (SF) and radiobiological parameters.
