Increased expression of HEY1 and HEY2 in human osteosarcoma cell lines. (A) Total RNA collected from osteosarcoma cell lines was examined by using real-time PCR. A comparative Ct (ΔΔCt) analysis was performed to examine fold changes in mRNA expression compared with β-actin. Real-time PCR showed that eight out of eight human osteosarcoma cell lines had an increased expression of HEY1 compared with normal osteoblasts (NHOst). Five out of eight human osteosarcoma cell lines also showed increased expression of HEY2. The experiment was performed in triplicate with similar results. (B) Protein expression of HEY1 were examined by western blot. All osteosarcoma cell lines increased the expression of HEY1 protein. The experiment was performed in triplicate with similar results.
