HSPG2−/−‐Tg aortas have a reduced relaxation in response to ACh or SNP. The aortic rings were precontracted with 1 µmol/L phenylephrine (PE), and increasing concentrations of (A) acetylcholine (ACh) or (B) sodium nitroprusside (SNP) were added. The degree of relaxation is expressed as the percent relaxation of the PE‐induced tone (The bars indicate the mean ± SEM, n = 5–10).
