HDL was incubated with 250 μM acrolein for 1, 4, or 24 hours and proteins were separated on a 10% SDS-PAGE gel. Following transfer to a nitrocellulose membrane, proteins were visualized using antibodies directed against (A) apoA-I, (B) apoA-II or (C) α-acrolein-lysine. Data shown are representative of four independent modifications.
