Within participants, total power was first averaged across 8–12 Hz and then normalized by converting to z-scores. The resulting z-score topographies were then averaged across participants. Bottom, Difference topographies between hit and miss trials. Although the differences are relatively small, they demonstrate a significant reduction in alpha lateralization in miss trials.
