Loss or reduction of RNA-binding protein (RBP) genes results in a decrease in dendritic termini in PVD neurons. (B) Animals carrying a green fluorescent protein (GFP) marker for PVD neurons and a mutation in the RBP gene indicated have reduced dendritic termini compared with the control (ctl). (C) Animals carrying a GFP marker for PVD neurons and treated with RNA interference (RNAi) for the genes indicated have reduced dendritic termini compared with the control. mec-3(RNAi) is a positive control for RNAi and reduced dendrite phenotypes.
