Effect of TAT-BID on progression of apoptosis induced in HeLa cells by doxorubicin (DOX). (A) Effect of TAT-BID on PARP1 cleavage in HeLa cells treated with DOX. Cells were treated with 40 μg/ml TAT-BID or 1 μM DOX (or both) for 18 h. PARP1 (116 kDa), its apoptotic form (85 kDa) and GAPDH were identified in whole cell extracts using specific antibodies. (B) Microscopic images of the cells. Cells were treated with 40 μg/ml TAT-BID or 0.5 μM DOX (or both) for 24 or 48 h. Cells were stained with Giemsa’s azur and May-Grünwald dyes.
