M. smegmatis (Msm) strains were grown to saturation in LBT at 37°C and subcultured with 1% inoculum in 25 ml LBT, grown for 6 h and grown further either in the absence (0 mM) or presence (3 mM) H2O2. The growth was monitored by taking OD readings at 600 nm, at time intervals of every 6 h for 48 h.
